The Philippines should be CPR-ready by 2020. Everybody from 8 years old to 60 years old should know how to do CPR to save lives, said Dr. Silahis Rosario, SU Medical School instructor and member of the Council of CPR, in a CPR sponsored by the Philippine Heart Association at the Lamberto Macias Complex July 16.
Rosario and other cardiac specialists and members of the Council Dr. Karen Sayson and Dr. Brian Calinawagan spearheaded the free training here in collaboration with Philippine Red Cross (PRC), Department of Health (DOH), American Heart Association, Province of Oriental Negros and Department of Education.
Dr. Jose Palomar, internal medicine specialist from the Silliman University Medical Center (SUMC), was among those who gave the demonstration and mini-lectures.
