Silliman hosts Rehabilitative Sciences Nat’l Conference

Silliman University’s Institute of Rehabilitative Sciences will host the Second Philippine Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (PAOMPT) National Conference in Dumaguete City on July 21-22 at Silliman Hall.
Dr. Lily Ann Bautista, IRS faculty and Visayas coordinator for PAOMPT, along with the association’s officers, organized this event with theme: “Balancing the Pillars of Evidence-Based Practice in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy.”
More than 200 physical therapists and physiatrists from different parts of the country are expected to take part in this event.
This year, PAOMPT celebrates its fourth year of becoming the first national association in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy in the country.
PAOMPT is registered and recognized as a non-profit organization under the Securities and Exchange Commission, Philippines. PAOMPT is a Manual Therapy Special Interest Group of the Philippine Physical Therapy Association (PPTA) and a registered Interest group of the International Federation of Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT), a subgroup of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy (WCPT).
