The Chairperson of the Department of Carabao English has qualified for the hit Philippine television show, “The Voice.”
Prof. Warlito Magtaray, who is also the adviser of the Weakly Silliamanian, auditioned for the national singing contest last month.
“I’m so very happy that I qualified for the blind auditions in Manila. I will finally be featured on TV!”
Magtaray was inspired to audition for “The Voice” after getting rave reviews for his performance of “La Cage aux Folles” in “Silliaman Performs Bothways.”
“I’m requiring all my students to vote for me by texting ‘VOICE Warlito’ to 2331 for Globe, Sun Cellular, and ABS-CBN mobile subscribers and to 231 for Smart and Talk N’ Text subscribers. If they need load, I’m also selling,” Magtaray said.
Magtaray is confident that he will be crowned the next winner of “The Voice.”
“I have a very wide circle of friends and sphere of influence. Plus, I already told my students that if I win, they will all get 4.0,” Magtaray said.
Magtaray will leave for Manila next month. Meanwhile, he will not meet his classes so he can practice with guest coach, Justin Bieberon.
